Styrax japonica ‘Fragrant Fountain’

Showy and fragrant, Japanese Snowbell Fragrant Fountain is a very showy, weeping deciduous ornamental tree grown for its profusion of scented, white flws and compact size. An excellent choice for a specimen tree, both for large and small gardens. Deciduous foliage turns to rich hues of yellow and gold in the autumn. The large, bell-shaped, flowers are borne on drooping stems, in Spring their attractive appearance enhanced by long, pale gold stamens dangling from the centre. The blossoms are highly fragrant and have a pleasant, sweet scent. Best in part shade and consistently moist, well-drained soil. Sheltered site away from cold, drying winds.
