Mespilus germanica ‘Bredase Reus’

‘Medlar’. An odd exotic looking fruit native of Europe size of small Apple. Pick fruit Nov and allow to decay (blet) for several weeks until flesh turns brown and soft at which point centre can be scooped out with spoon sweet tasting at this point. Ht 4m in 10 years. Full sun and well drained soil.
