M.’Sweet Simplicity’ x M. ‘Black Tulip’ blooms freely from an early age. Attractive red-purple flowers that display an almost metallic sheen are produced in abundance in spring. Forms a small, upright tree with a columnar form making it ideal as a garden feature. Ht 4m. Sun/ part shade. Acid to neutral soil.
