Deschampsia caespitosa ‘Tardiflora’

A newer variety of tufted hair grass. Long, arching green leaves with very fine feathery flowers that shimmer with hints of gold, silver and purple as they catch the light, Jul-Sept. A mound-forming, semi-evergreen grass that’s particularly versatile, it thrives in both sun and light shade. Ht 1m. Fertile, well-drained but moist soil. Cut back old foliage to the ground in late winter or early spring before the new shoots emerge.
