Wisteria brachybotrys ‘Okayama’
Description
Wisteria brachybotrys ‘Okayama’ has long, pendulous racemes of beautiful, pale lilac flowers opening from rich violet buds, May-Jun. Strongly scented. Reasonably vigorous, it is ideal for climbing up wires or trellis against a sunny wall or fence. Ht 3-6m. (10-20ft).
To encourage prolific flowering prune the branches to create stumpy spurs in August and February.
