Pterocarya stenoptera

A large vigorous tree native to China, with leaves upto 40cm long. Flowers unisexual, both sexes borne on the same tree but on different catkins. Female catkins 20cms. long, male catkins one third in length. Moiture-loving and requiring deep loamy soil.
