Velvety bronze furry buds open to reveal cup-shaped blooms of pure white, with a central boss of yellow stamens, Apr-May. Fagrant. Deep pink seed pods that open to reveal glossy crimson fruits. The small evergreen leaves are velvety brown underneath. Ht 2m in 10 years. Acid soil. Sun. Sheltered site.
