Fargesia Nitida ‘Volcano’

Non-invasive clump forming bamboo with lovely reddish-brown to black canes or ‘culms’. Densely foliated with a slightly pendulous habit. A cross between Fargesia nitida and nitida Gansu and is one of the smaller of the cultivars. A perfect specimen plant for the medium sized garden and suitable for screening. Ht: up to 2.5m (8ft) Spr: 4-5ft (1.5m). Shade/ semi-shade. Does not like cold winds or waterlogged soils.
