Cornus kousa ‘Ed Mezitt’

A lovely cultivar selected for its burgundy new leaves which remain bronze until the flws appear. Wide, overlapping creamy bracts age to pink and last for weeks in late spring-early summer followed by an abundance of strawberry-like fruits in autumn. Spectacular orange autumn coloring. Peeling grey bark adds to the overall interest of the plant. Ht 15ft. Prefers moist, acid, well drained soil in sun or part shade.
