Cornus florida ‘Daybreak’

A lovely, upright deciduous shrub with a spreading habit. The oval, beautifully variegated leaves are dark green and edged in white, developing into attractive shades of pink and red in autumn. May and June brings clusters of small green flowers surrounded with four bracts, pure white. Thrives in fertile, humus-rich, neutral to acid soil. Unsuitable for shallow, chalky soils.
