‘Mountain Sagewood’. A hardy evergreen shrub native to South Africa and Mozambique, where it grows on mountain slopes at altitudes above 1,800 m. This unusual Buddleja grows as a dense bushy shrub or small tree. The leaves are more narrow than most, matt green and contrast with the small sweetly scented flowers that are carried in thick bunches or ‘cymes’ at the end of the branches. Frost hardy, and suited to most soils that are moisture retentive but not wet. Sunny position.
