Indocalamus tessellatus Synon. ‘Sasa tessellatus’. Exceptionally large, glossy, leaves, sometimes 50cm long. Forms an exotic looking mound of foliage about 3ft.(1m) high. Spreading root system but not uncontrollable. A good specimen plant or groundcover. Shade tolerant. Has tolerated -25C.
