A large, evergreen, slow growing shrub. Aromatic bark. Leathery leaves with prettily scalloped margins. Erect racemes of green flowers, Spring-Summer. A striking and unusual shrub valued by flower arrangers. Most fertile soil, except shallow chalk. Sun or shade.
