Philadelphus Purpurascens

A deciduous, upright shrub with dark-green ovate leaves. In early to mid-summer, on purple stems, it bears clusters of sweetly-scented, white, bowl shaped flowers that open from purple buds. Plant in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
