Hydrangea serrata ‘Forget me not’

A compact, deciduous shrub to 1m high, with narrowly ovate, serrated green leaves that tint red in the sun. In summer, flat lace-cap type flower heads bear clusters of tiny fertile flowers, with a few larger florets held on short, delicate stems around the edges. Flower colour varies depending on the pH of the soil, and deepens as the season progresses, from near white when the flowers open to rich pink, lilac or blue in late summer.Sun or part shade. Humus rich/fertile soil.
