A climbing Hydrangea a cross between H. anomala ssp petiolaris and H. seemannii. Evergreen foliage with copper coloured young shoots in spring. Large, quite flat groups of sterile and fertile white flws, May-June. It is more frost resistant than H. seemannii. Ht 2.5m+ (8ft). Well drained soil. Useful for shady walls.
