Betula utilis ‘Whiteness’

A selection of himalayan birch with striking white bark, particularly attractive in winter when the branches are bare. In spring, catkins are followed by mid-green leaves that create an airy canopy. The foliage turns golden yellow in autumn, providing additional interest. A medium sized tree with pyramidal shape. Ht approx 8 m x 4 m spread over 20 yrs. Most soil conditions in full sun to partial shade.
