Acer palmatum ‘Nishik-gawa’

‘Pine Bark Japanese maple’. A distinct variety for its thick, corky, deeply textured bark. Light green leaves in spring, turn bright green in summer before changing to striking shades of yellow, orange, and red in autumn. Ht 10-12ft. Sheltered site away from cold winds. Acid to neutral soil.
