Reindert, who went to art school in Holland, went to France for a holiday and liked it so much that he stayed and decided to study ceramics seriously. He works in St Quentin la Poteriea a village near Nîmes which has a long history as a traditional crafts village. His work shows a tangible love for the medium and its decoration. Bursting with colour and life the work is a cheery take on traditional wares, fun and ultimately made to be used in a choice of bright coloured slips and glazes.
