We welcome Glasgow based artist Lesley Banks for the first time in Red Barn. Lesley has been painting over 25 years and is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art. She has exhibited extensively and has won many prizes and awards, including a recent residency, painting the Scottish Canals. For us though, Lesley has a collection of paintings of Italy and Spain, inspired by her own travels, which are a welcome sight this Autumn with dappled sunlight and soft mists, depicting places which have clearly captured her heart. We have fifteen framed originals and some mounted prints to choose from in the gallery.
Lesley also has been shortlisted for the Westmorland landscape prize and has a painting in Rheged for the competition which is judged 12 sept.
