Hippophae rhamnoides ‘Julia’

A compact variety. Young shoots are short, upright, rigid and well-branched. Narrow grey green leaves. An interesting and compact plant for hedges, or as a specimen particularly in exposed maritime areas. Female, needs male pollinator for berries eg Hikul or Pollmix. In summer, bright orange berries appear, rich in vitamin C and other nutrients. Ht upto 200cm (6ft) in 10 yrs. Well drained soil.
