Hamamelis intermedia ‘Birgit’ A new variety of ‘witch hazel’ possibly the best red to date. Twisted and crimped petals of dark red, slightly scented produced in late winter. Good autumn colour- yellow to orange. New leaves are deep green with maroon flush. Ht 3m. Sun/ part shade. Fertile, peaty, acid soil.
