Cornus Capitata ‘Kilmacuragh Rose’

An Irish selection of this Himalayan species with especially large bracts. Evergreen bushy shrub or small tree with long, oval grey-green leaves turn purplish-red in autumn. Large creamy white bracts that turn rose-pink with age followed by red, strawberry like fruits. Ht 3-5m. Any reasonably well-drained, acid to neutral soil. Sheltered site, may need protection in coldest localities. Sun or part shade.
