Salvia guaranitica ‘Black & Blue’

A striking perennial and valuable late flowerer for back of the border. Upright spikes upto 30cm long carry sumptuously coloured purple-blue flowers, which are held at their bases by near-black calyces – hence the name ‘Black and Blue’. Ht 2.5m (6-8ft) x Spr 0.9m (3ft). Well drained soil. Sunny position. Ideal for container on the patio, courtyard or in the border. Protect from frosts.
