‘Purple Moor Grass’. Compact, tufted grass with upright, linear foliage and slender purple-black flowerheads that stand up straight on narrow stems. Foliage slowly turns pale orange-brown in winter. Ht 60cm x spr 50cm. Makes a great architectural foil for other plants. Plant it in drifts or as spot plants in a gravel garden. Remove faded foliage and stems in late winter, before fresh foliage emerges. Moist but well drained soil. Sun or part shade.
