Fargesia ‘Obelisk’

An excellent new hybrid, a cross between Fargesia Murieliae and Fargesia Nitida with excellent cole tolerance. Hardy to -25C. Vigorous upright growth 4-5m. Non invasive. Makes an excellent garden accent or privacy evergreen screen. It also grows well beside ponds or iin a large pot as long as it has adequate root room. It tolerates a wide range of soils types. it will grow in loam, sandy loam and clay with ease. It prefers evenly moist soil and doesn’t tolerate drought well.
