Origin China: Collected in 1995 in Gansu Province, No. 2 represents the 2nd species found there. A dense clump-forming bamboo with dark purple-green canes with small narrow green leaves. Max Height 2.5m. Max Spread 1.5m. Well drained soil, sun part shade.
