A compact form of Corylus avellana ‘Contorta’ (corkscrew hazel). A well branched plant with flexible branches that do not break easily. Leaves turn yellow-orange in autumn. Catkins in early Spring (Feb-Mar). Ht 1.5 m. Sun or part shade. Well-drained soil. Excellent as a specimen shrub.
