Acer palmatum ‘Arakawa’

Acer palmatum is an unusual variety for the collector- known as the ‘rough bark maple’. Rough, corky bark appears after about 5 years becoming more prominent with age. A vigorous grower which can reach 15ft (4.5m). Gold and red autumn colour. Perfect for bonsai, as the trunk texture gives an aged appearance. Neutral to acid soil.
