Michael Michaud

Michael Michaud is an internationally recognised jewellery artist celebrated for his exquisite botanical jewellery, inspired by the intricate beauty of the natural world. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology’s prestigious School for American Craftsmen, he studied under renowned designers Hans Christenson and Gary Griffin, developing an exceptional mastery of mould-making and metalworking.

Rather than using traditional lost-wax casting methods, Michaud creates moulds directly from real leaves, flowers and branches, preserving every delicate vein and texture in bronze. Enhanced with soft patinas, pearls, beads and semi-precious stones, his jewellery captures nature with remarkable authenticity and craftsmanship.

After working with jewellery designers in New York City, Michaud’s time spent in the city’s flower district and the surrounding Connecticut countryside inspired the creation of his signature botanical collections in 1991. Today, his work is recognised worldwide and is featured in leading museums, galleries and specialist retailers. His collections have also been commissioned by prestigious institutions including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery of Art and the Château de Versailles.
