Janice Earley is a Cumbrian printmaker whose work has been exhibited widely across the UK. She is best known for her linocut prints, inspired by the landscapes and wildlife that surround her.
Originally from Cumbria, she spent several years working in Guernsey before returning to the Lake District. Now based in the Eden Valley, her practice remains closely connected to natural environments, particularly coastal and upland landscapes.
“We have now settled in the Eden Valley, Cumbria. I am still very drawn to the coast and to natural places which greatly influence my work. Our house looks out on the wild northern Pennines and the scene is constantly of interest with ever changing light and weather conditions.”
Her work reflects this ongoing engagement with place, capturing the character and atmosphere of the natural world through bold, expressive printmaking.
