Camellia ‘Volunteer’

A very showy, large-flowered, double camellia with two-tone pink and white flowers. Buds open in mid to late winter revealing soft pink flowers frosted with white petal edges. As the flowers mature, the colour intensifies into a deeper rose-pink contrasting even more strongly with the white margins. Dark, glossy evergreen foliage. Upright habit. Ht: 2.5m x Spr: 2m. Protect flower buds from early morning sunshine after a spring frost. Suitable for pot in cool greenhouse. Sheltered position. Thrive in a good acid to neutral soil.
