Acer ‘Merlot Magic’® is a selection of the Tartarian maple with an excellent upright symmetrical habit, perfect for smaller spaces and street trees. Attractive purple/red emerging lobed leaves that turn purple-flushed deep bronzy-green in summer. Conspicuous small flowers in May are scented and attractive to bees. In the autumn the orange-red seed keys and autumn foliage add further interest to this neat garden and landscape tree. Selected for its unusual purple-red emergent spring foliage. Well drained soil.
