Castanea – Chestnut ‘Marsol’

Chestnut Marsol is an early mid-season variety. Produces a good crop of large, high quality brown nuts that have good storage life. Delicious either roasted or in sauces. Best variety for wet areas due to resistance to anthracnose and ink disease. Happier planted on lighter soils, acid to neutral is best, avoid chalk if possible.
