Kioto is a new apricot variety. Heavy crops of round orange flushed red fruits arrive in early July. Flesh is sweet and juicy! Very high productivity, good thinning and less split resistance. The tree is slightly more compact than a standard apricot and frost resistant. Self fertile. A great garden variety as it’s easy to grow! Ht 3-3.5m in 10 years. Sunny, warm, sheltered position. Well drained soil. Rootstock: Weiwa was developed at Munich University. It is designed to promote early-ripening and better fruit size.
These trees have been grown in the ground and potted Jan 2026, please note they will not be fully rooted in their pots until Spring/ Summer 2026 but can be planted straight out through the dormant period.
