Magnolia ‘Jane Platt’

A selected pink clone of Magnolia stellata (the Star Magnolia), with distinctive deep rich pink flowers up to 10cm across with up to 30 tepals. Flowering in April it is a strong growing and very floriferous deciduous plant with a bushy habit. Ht 150-175cm in 10 years. Best in moist but well drained, acid solis, but will tolerate neutral soils with good organic content.
