White outdoor grape. This is recommmended as the best white wine variety for the UK. Originating from Germany this white variety is similar to Müller-Thurgau in flavour but with a better habit, and is now a popular variety in commercial UK vineyards as it makes a good wine – it is also an excellent grape for eating.
