Blackcurrant. A deciduous shrub flowering in Spring followed by an abundance of blackcurrants. Firm, round, glossy, black, edible berries ready for harvest in mid to late summer. Prune when dormant in late autumn to late winter. Fruit forms on young wood. Prune to remove older wood.
