Pinus aristata

Pinus aristata Slow growing, bushy conifer. The oldest specimin is in excess of 3,000 years old. Densely crowded, dark green & blue needles are 3 – 5cm long. Seed-cones are ovoid in shape, 4 – 10cm long, a striking purple when young, maturing to dark brown. Ht; 6-15m. Very hardy, tolerant of rocky condition. Does not like oceanic climates.
