Miscanthus sinensis ‘Nippon’

Compact clumps of dark green leaves with bright silver midribs arch gracefully. Striking, deep wine-coloured inflorescences emerge and then age to cream, Jul-Aug. Leaves turn colour in autumn. Similar to M. ‘Gracillimus’ but has slightly wider leaves and an earlier bloom time. It is a strong grower. Ht 4-5ft. (120-150cm). Sun/ part shade. well drained soil.
