Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Rotschwanz’

A medium sized shrub. When grown in alkaline soil it produces lacecap flowerheads with clusters of tiny pink fertile florets surrounded by large burgundy red sterile florets. In acid soils the flower colour will become more purplish. Ht 4-5ft. Best grown in a position with afternoon shade. Moist soil.
