Gladiolus byzantinus

A hardy, easy to grow, species gladiolus that flowers from May to July and naturalises readily. Graceful magenta coloured flowers with fine white flashes. AGM. Suitable for borders or for growing in pots, makes a lovely cut flower. One of the hardiest species. Ht 60cm (2ft). Well drained soil, sunny sheltered site. may need winter protaection in coldest localities.
