Dipsacus Fullonum (synon. Sylvestris)

Toothed dark green, spiny leaves and showy thistle-like pinkish-purple or white flowers with prickly bracts appear in mid-late summer. Height 5-6ft. Excellent in a wild flower garden and the flowerheads look great in floral arrangements.
