Calamagrostis Acutiflora ‘Avalanche’

Calamagrostis x acutiflora ‘Avalanche’ is similar to C. ‘Overdam’, but with more green than white in the leaves, and a bit shorter when in flower. Excellent cut flower. Variegated foliage with green margins and white centres. Flws, Jun-Jul. Ht 120cm (4ft). Sun to part shade; moist to wet fertile soil; tolerates a wide range of soil types including dry sandy soil; thrives in clay soil. Clump forming. Not evergreen.
