Alcea rosea ‘Polarstar’

Alcea rosea ‘Polarstar’ is a new introduction with a low mound of rich, deep-green, lobed foliage and single, pure white flowers with a yellow eye from June – Aug. Flowers are borne on sturdy upright stems and are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. Height 1.8m -2m. Likes full sun and well-drained soil. Ideal for the back of a sunner border, walled borders, in cottage and informal planting schemes and coastal areas. Requires staking on exposed sites.
