Acer x pseudosieboldianum ‘North Wind’

A new series of hybrid acers that make great alternatives to Japanese maples and can tolerate extreme cold conditions – known as the Jack Frost Acer series. The palmate leaves emerge red in spring changing to green by midsummer. Showy pink samaras standout against the green summer foliage. Excellent autumn colour oranges and scarlets that persist well into autumn. Ht 5-6m. Sun/ part shade. Any reasonable, well drained soil.
