Acer palmatum ‘Royal Garnet’

A beautiful acer with feathery, garnet-coloured leaves that change to the fieriest orange-red colours in autumn. Vigorous, spreading habit forming a mound-shaped shrub. This deciduous Japanese maple tree was selected for deeply incised leaves and broad, hanging growth habit. Upright, dense growth habit, slowly growing into a somewhat wider shape at five years of age. Ht 2-2.5m in 10 years. Well-drained soil, acid soil. Sun or semi-shade.
