Gardener

We a looking for that someone who is passionate about plants to join the team. This is not just a job, its our passion !!

Larch Cottage Nurseries in the heart of the Eden Valley and was started in 1985 by Peter Stott, over the years it has evolved to become what it is now; a well known and award winning garden. RHS partner garden regional winner 2021 and 2025

The nursery is host to over 15,000 varieties of plants, the vast majority of which are propagated on-site. We specialise in rare and unusual Shrubs, Perennials, and Climbers, Japanese Acers, Old Fashioned Roses, and slow growing and Dwarf Conifers. For many of these varieties we are the country’s only suppliers as listed in the RHS Plantfinder.

You will work as part of a small team to maintain the borders which surround the nursery (which are host to many stock plants), a wildflower meadow, an orchard and lawns with a stream leading down into a small lake with the chapel at its head.

Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential!

Nursery Assistant

Full time, permanent position 

Our renowned nursery is looking for a Nursery Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly customer focused individual that enjoys working outdoors and has a genuine interest in plants. The right applicant will have a can-do attitude and is looking for a new challenge and personal growth. Any horticultural qualifications would be desirable but not essential.

The Nursery Assistants are responsible for the day to day work in the retail areas as well as delivering high standards of customer service. You will work as part of the team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
