Senior Horticultural Assistant & Propagator

We take immense pride in propagating much of our own stock, and we are looking for a dedicated plants person to join our expert nursery team ahead of our upcoming spring season.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Horticultural Assistant and Propagator to take a key role in our plant production, commencing in February 2027. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a deep passion for plants, strong botanical knowledge, and excellent practical skills. Working closely with our propagation team, you will ensure our high standards of plant health, growth, and presentation are maintained year-round.

Horticulturalist / Gardening Apprentice – Level 2
We have a rare opportunity for an apprentice horticulturalist to come and join our friendly team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to pursue a career in horticulture and has a proven interest in plants.
You will work under our head gardener, maintaining and developing the gardens which are constantly evolving. You will also help with our organic vegetable garden which grows vegetables to serve our restaurant. We have an extensive range of plants and one of the biggest selections in the country so this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to learn! You will learn all aspects of horticulture including propagation.
Our well known and award winning gardens have raised over £50,000 for various charities and are open to the public two afternoons per week during the summer.
The apprenticeship will be offered in conjunction with Myerscough college and will be 100% work based however you will be required to attend college on occasional days to complete training courses.
This is a full time position. Normal hours are 8am-5pm (slightly reduced in the winter due to daylight hours). The position will include some weekend work.

Apprentice Chef
We are looking for an apprentice chef to work alongside our existing kitchen team. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a passion for good food. Our menu is based around Mediterranean, vegetarian and pescatarian dishes. We have an organic vegetable garden on site which supplies the restaurant which much of their produce throughout the season.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a real foodie. Excellent sociable hours in a fantastic small team.
