Jill Davis

Jill Davis is a printmaker working mainly in lino, exploring still life, townscapes,
pattern and colour. Her work is inspired by the familiar — everyday objects,
buildings and places — and she is interested in the character of the printed mark
and the way images develop through layers of colour and texture.
Her prints combine bold colour and pattern with a simplified approach to form,
creating images that are recognisable while retaining a sense of abstraction.
Jill has an MA in Contemporary Fine Art and continues to develop her practice
through printmaking.
