Davidia involucrata ‘Sonoma’

A very rare form of the ‘Pocket-handkerchief Tree’ producing flowers from an early age, on 2-3 year old plants. Slow growing, eventually becoming a medium sized tree or multi-stemmed bush. Spectacular flower-like bracts cover the tree in May. Ht 1.5m in 10 years. Sun or part shade. Fertile soil. Young plants need winter protection.
